Be as Happy as You Want to Be

A lot of people must have heard the song 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin at one time or another. The song has a catchy way of conveying its message to everyone about being happy. Bobby McFerrin’s simple message surely motivated a lot of people by telling them not to worry.

Living a happy, resilient, and optimistic life is wonderful, and it is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from all the stress in your life. That’s good because stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer, and stroke.

One of the best things ever said is – “The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change”. In our lives we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation, we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.

Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, so accept people for whom or what they are and avoid clashes and constant arguments. Also, let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable, still try and make an effort to understand the situation, and you might just get along with well with it.

Happiness is actually found in everyone, so increasing it is a way to make life more wonderful and healthier.

Being happy is relatively easy. Just decide to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln observed that most people most of the time can choose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or troubled, or how bright or dull their outlook will be. The choice is simple really, so choose to be happy.

There are several ways which you can do this.

Being grateful is a great attitude. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely. Thank the cook for a wonderful dinner. Even thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also, thank the mailman for bringing you your mail, thank the policeman for making your place safe, and thank God for being alive.

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

A religious connection is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers, and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time. Time is invaluable and is too important to waste. Time management can be viewed as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, creating lists of things to do, and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

Laugh and laugh heartily everyday. Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say – “Laughter is the best medicine”.

Express your feelings, affections, friendship, and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to keep built-up anger or frustrations as this is bad for your health. Instead, find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.

Working hard brings tremendous personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in finishing our tasks. Accomplishments are necessary for all of us. They give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel are worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new everyday. Learning also helps us expand and broaden our horizons and could also give us more opportunities in the future.

Run, jog, walk, and do other things that your body was made for! Feel alive!

Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins, and hazardous places.

These are the few simple things you can do everyday to be happy.

Finally, always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln. "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Keys to Starting a Relationship

You may be awesome at something. If you think you are smart then make sure that you show it. If you think you have the ability to make some one laugh then go ahead make them laugh. If you are good at sports then demonstrate that.

Let people know you are different. Widen your horizons. If you feel that you do not have prospects then think again and look in another direction. If you like sports then look for people with similar interests and hang out with them. Look for someone with whom you would find it easy to communicate. A successful relationship starts with communication. If you fail with communication you may soon lose the relationship.

The first step you should take is to communicate effectively with your partner. First, start by simply talking and the making friends with that special person. Women are usually cautious when jumping into new commitments. Make sure you find a reason to talk. Also, make sure both of you are willing to exchange conversation.

Don’t make a third person be a medium. Be yourself and express your feelings directly. Make sure you don’t lie at the beginning of your relationship as this will become disastrous. You will be heart broken when you find yourself lonely.

Convey your feelings. Make sure that the right kind of emotion is transferred. Flirting is a healthy social and playful activity, but it must be reciprocated only in certain cases. If you get the right kind of emotion it may help you build a successful relationship. Don’t be sad if it doesn’t pay back.

Take things slowly. Don’t show any kind of desperation. This will spoil it for you. When you take things easy you may be open to lots of surprises. You may be surprised that your special person might ask you out for a date!

Make sure you don’t get the wrong vibe. Once you know that a formidable base is made you can go beyond. Make sure you continue having a normal routine. Don’t make your life revolve around that special someone. The person you start loving may want you and not a clone of yourself. This is why it is important to remain yourself truly as this would be highly appreciated.

How to Find and Attract Your One True Love

You may look around and think that finding and attracting the right person is next to impossible.  Everyone you see seems to be very happy and in a relationship except for you.  It seems that you cannot manage to find that special someone, and you may feel you’re the only person in the world who cannot seem to find love.

You may be successful in everything you do, but when it comes to true love that’s where you seem to fail. This leaves you questioning whether or not there is such a thing as true love.  What makes that person great? Think about what qualities makes him or her the one you would love and who would love you unconditionally.

There may be flaws and imperfection to be found, and there may be things in the relationship that you won’t agree, but in-spite of all this, he or she will love you for the right reasons.  This guy or girl will reciprocate your love for him or her and even more.  The question is whether you will be able to find him or her.

Even if you find that special someone, then next question is how would you attract that person make that person stay.  It is simple to attract them and make them fall for you and commit for a long term relationship. For this you need to close your eyes and think about that one true love.

Imagine that person standing in front of you.  How would that person be?  Think of a possible weekend getaway to a romantic destination.  Think about a conversation that you may have.  Think about how it feels when you are touched by that person.

The way you feel and what you hear that person say to you in your mind is the way that person would be in your true life.  It is quite possible to meet someone like them.  You may have had bad experiences in your past, but while visualizing your one true love you are actually already manifesting that person.  The concept of love at first sight is the manifestation before the first sight.

Manifesting is a virtual existence of this person.  Believe in your heart that you can really make this virtual person come to life.  The next step for you would be to change for the better.  If you think that it has always been the other person’s fault then it is the best time for you to look into yourself.  Nagging is definitely not going to help.  You should remember that a relationship is a two-way street that requires both of you to work at it.

So stop your unwillingness and try something new because the best still awaits.
